This month, it would pay for two wrestlers to go to a college wrestling camp and learn from a national champion and a two-time all-American. The two kids would get a t-shirt, New Testament, and lunch. They would get to hang out with Christian college athletes and hear one of them share how Jesus Christ has impacted his life. Finally, they would hear the gospel, explained clearly straight out of the word of God.
This month, it would pay for one night of pizza with the MCC baseball team. An opportunity to get the players together to dive deeper into the Word of God. Asking players to come to a Bible study after a long day of school and practice might be a hard sell, but asking the kids to come eat dinner after practice while we discuss faith, God, Jesus, and how it all relates to their lives as a college athlete is a lot easier.
