Thurs. will start my first chapel with the Phoenix Desert Dawgs. The Dawgs play in the Arizona Fall league. This league has been the stepping stone to the big leagues for many of MLB's biggest stars. The Dawgs are made up of the top prospects from 6 different organizations. Oakland A's, Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays, AZ Dbacks, and the Colorado Rockies. I will be offering a 15 min. chapel to the players once per week. Pray for me.
Friday will be my first Bible study with the Mesa Community College baseball team. I have been helping out with some practices and in the weight room at 5 AM. Hanging out with the guys has been a great time to build relationships and be accepted in as an "insider." I told the guys what my job was and how I would love to start a study with the team. There was about 8 that said they were interested. Pray for Friday mornings.
Saturday, we have our wrestling camp. The Grand Canyon University wrestling coach and his players will be handling the clinic. I will have David Islas, one of GCU's wrestlers (and one of our summer camp huddle leaders) share a little about his faith, and then I will share the gospel. I'm very excited, but also praying that God would bring more kids. Right now we have about 15 signed up and we should really have 50 by the end of the week. Keep this in your prayers.
